The Swapclub Swap System
This is a proven and reliable
method for swapping items when correctly followed. It allows
you to safely swap items for credit points. These credit
points can then be redeemed for other items listed by another
member. Your points are protected whether you are sending
out an item or receiving an item. Just look how simple
this is:
- Registration & Membership
- Members are part of Swapclub.
We hold all the relevant details about our members. You
must have a valid e-mail address registered with us at
all times.
- Start Swap - When
an item is requested, pending debits and credits are made
from each member's account.
- Item Posted - The
item is posted and confirmed at the website.
- Item Received - The
item is received at the other end and confirmed at the
website.
- Feedback - Members
post relevant feedback.
As you can see, the process is simple
and easy and above all, it's safe. There are features to
protect both members if someone forgets to carry out their
role. Have a look at the various swap scenarios and you will
see how. Read

Swapclub Credit System
Your credit account shows the following:
Current Account Balance: The
number of points you have available for swapping.
Pending Credits: Points
that will be credited to your account when delivery is
confirmed.
Pending Debits: Points
that will be debited from your account when an item has been
sent to you.
Pending Actions: Number
of items that have been requested from you and need to
be posted.
Both parties have their points protected
throughout the swap. Debits and Credits are made as follows:
- When a swap is started, pending credits
and debits are made against respective members accounts.
- All credit / debit points are confirmed
when the item is confirmed received or after 29 days from
the start.
- Points are refunded when the "Not
received" button is activated. The
sender will receive credits
as long as a valid receipt has been registered and is
available for Swapclub to check.
Recognising the Value of items
When you add a listing, credit points will
automatically be assigned to it. Remember, the points are
not dollars but just represent the item so you can swap it.
You may just want to swap books
for books of the same credit value or you may want to swap
dissimilar items. The swapclub system gives
you the flexibility and options depending on your areas of
interest.
The recommended credit value is based
on the item being in good used condition. You can reduce
the default credit value if you want to earn the credits
quickly or the item is less desirable. It's up to you.
Earning Swapclub Credits
If you don't have enough credits for an
item you can get extra points by several methods. The first
and best method is to send out an item and earn Swapclub
Credits.
The second method is to buy
credits off Swapclub,
and the third way is to look in the free points area and
see what specials may be on offer from time to time.
Swapclub Credits are
not dollars and are not redeemable for cash.
Remember that this is a club for swapping items and our system
means it's easy and safe to do, as you don't need to find
a direct match with another member, or transfer money into
another member's account.
Postage costs
As part of your membership requirements, you are required
to pay for postage on an item that is requested from you.
In return, you will receive credit points for that item that
you can then use to swap for items from other members. Remember
that the postage on the items sent to you will arrive with
postage paid so in effect you get postage costs refunded
at this time.
We don't require items to be sent by
traceable post, but do require you to keep your postage
receipt.
This protects your points even if the item is not received.

Refund of Credit
Points
When an item has the 'Not Received'
button activated, the pending debits are returned. On confirmation
of postage, the person who sent the item will receive credits
for that item, even though it has not yet been received.
