What is Swapclub ?

Swapclub.co.nz is an online club for exchanging goods. Currently you can exchange books, CDs, DVDs and gaming software. There are no transaction fees or money to transfer so it's nice and simple. All you do is list your unwanted items, earn points when you send them to another member and then redeem your points for other items listed by other members.

Why has Swapclub evolved?

Because lots of people just want to read or listen to music or play games without the costs and hassle involved when buying items on traditional auction or classified sites. How many times have you paid too much for an item on one of these sites? We have, and figured there must be a better way. Swapclub is it.

Why is Swapclub better?

There are no transaction costs, no classifieds asking unrealistic prices, no runaway auctions with autobids, no money to transfer, and you're part of a community with similar interests, plus it's loads of fun. Try it and you will soon see how enjoyable this concept is.

How to load a picture?

To make an attractive listing swapclub recommends uploading a picture of the item. To do this you must first download a picture onto your computer. We advise creating a “swapclub” file in your system so you can easily store and locate the pictures at any time.

    • Scan the item on a digital scanner, or
    • Find a picture on the web, right click and copy it.

However we ask that you do not load images that have been electronically tagged with a logo or similar as it may be copyrighted to that particular website
  • Uploading your picture:
    • Click on “Add picture” when you create a listing and then “Browse”.
    • Select the picture file (in your swapclub folder) and then “Continue”. The file will be transferred onto your listing.
    • You can add a picture at any time; just use the “modify” function.
      • You can only upload jpeg files (.jpg) onto swapclub. The file size doesn’t matter as swapclub will make adjustments. If you want to crop or resize a picture or change it to a jpeg file try using Picasa (it’s free and easy to use).
